Moser Roth is Aldi's own brand of chocolate. The offer includes milk chocolate, dark chocolate, caramel chocolate, with oranges and almonds and with bourbon vanilla. Most chocolates are Fairtrade certified for the ingredient (cocoa) or UTZ certified and are sold in paper packaging. The Aldi chain of stores was founded in Germany and is known throughout Europe. Aldi pays attention to labour rights and environmental protection. In the store you will find products with credible certificates, such as the European Organic Farming Mark, UTZ, Fairtrade, V-Label, GOTS, Blue Angel, Ecolabel and many others. Aldi is gradually reducing greenhouse gas emissions by increasing the consumption of electricity from renewable energy sources, LED lighting and an innovative cooling system. The company has committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by 2021 compared to 2015. In 2017, Aldi joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative. One of the main objectives of ALDI's packaging policy is to introduce recyclable, compostable or reusable packaging for all private label products by the end of 2025. In addition, the chain wants to reduce the total weight of packaging materials for private label products by 15% by 2025 and aims at at least 40% of fruit and vegetables not being packaged at all. The Aldi chain of stores has implemented the ISO 22000 and IFS management systems. Aldi conducts a number of information and education campaigns on broadly understood climate change, publishes its own publications with good practices and cooperates with environmental activists, such as, for example, Sylwia Majcher.
