Bigjigs Toys is an English family-owned children's toy brand that produces mainly wooden toys, but you can also find textile toys, Toys made of silicone or an environmentally friendly material made of wheat fibers. Many wooden toys are made from sustainably sourced rubber wood. A small proportion of Bigjigs Toys products are made of FSC certified wood. The founders of the company are a married couple, Liz and Peter, who are heavily involved in the production of the toys and take an active part in both their design. Liz, the director, visits the factories where the toys are produced - so as to ensure that all standards are met. More than 80% of the range uses packaging made of recycled cardboard, which is printed with soy-based inks. The company has a specially designated waste management team that collects recyclable waste on a weekly basis. Solar panels have been installed on the roof of the warehouse, helping to reduce carbon emissions.
