Kamibashi was created by two Americans fascinated by Asia. The couple spent a lot of time there and made connections with local artists from Thailand and Japan, who are now involved in making string toys for Kamibashi. The cooperation with the artists is based on Fair Trade principles, which means that they are paid more than the average wage and receive commission from the sold toys. By purchasing a „Kamibashi Cares” doll you can support one of the following social and environmental organisations: the Japanese Red Cross, the Pretty In Pink Foundation, the America’s Wetland Orangutan Outreach, the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, the Amazon Conservation Team or the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW).
