Goki is rooted in the German toy craft tradition, although nowadays only design of the products is made in the little town of Güster near Hamburg. The production of wooden toy vehicles, locomotives, doll furniture etc. is located in a Chinese factory owned and supervised by the company owners, who declare to strive to ensure that the employees are guaranteed good working conditions and receive all the benefits they are entitled to. No toxic bleaches are used in the production and the paints and protective coatings used are water-based. In addition, the company plants trees in its home land of Schleswig Holstein: one per each child born in the region.
