Pepco is a European chain of stores that offers clothing for the whole family, home furnishing products, toys for children and toys for animals. The first Pepco stores were opened in Poland in 2004. Currently, there are around 2,700 of them across Europe. Pepco's offer includes GOTS or Oeko-Tex certified organic cotton clothing. Unfortunately, this is a small percentage of all the clothes offered by the brand. The rest of the textiles are made using conventional cotton, polyester and other less responsible raw materials. Pepco uses the so-called intermodal transport, the main assumption of which is the wider use of rail and water connections. The newly opened Pepco stores have energy-saving LED lighting. The shopping bags sold in stores are made of recycled foil waste and contain at least 85% recycled material. Pepco employs about 23,000 people directly, most of them in stores, almost 900 in the headquarters in Poznań and the same number in distribution centers in Hungary and Poland. Employees directly employed by Pepco have access to non-financial benefits. Pepco, apart from publishing the Supplier Code of Conduct on the website, does not inform about the working conditions in its supply chain. No information on the results of the audits or corrective actions performed. We also do not know in which countries Pepco's suppliers are located. Pepco is involved in various types of social initiatives, cooperating with such organizations as: SOS Children's Villages, the "We Give Children Power" Foundation or the Noble Package.
