Pure Waste is a Finnish company that manufactures and sells yarns, fabrics and clothing made from 100% recycled materials. The most commonly used raw material for clothing is recycled cotton and recycled plastic bottles. No harmful chemicals are used in the production process, and raw materials and waste come from factories that use only materials in accordance with European REACH regulations. Manufacturing clothes from recycled materials generates 50% less CO2 emissions. The brand produces in India, Bangladesh, Estonia and Finland. Employees in India receive fair wages for their work, are employed under an employment contract and health services are provided in agreement with a local private hospital. The factory in Bangladesh is under the control of the ACCORD agreement, which verifies safety standards. Additionally, to ensure proper working conditions, the owner of the factory in India is a shareholder of the Pure Waste brand. The company discloses a list of its suppliers. All products are sent in recycled and reusable packaging. One returnable package can circulate approximately 40 times.
