Mohop offers footwear that is exceptional in every way. It is unique is its form, the impact is has on the environment and the people involved in its production. One pair of Mohop shoes will suit any occasion. By simply changing a ribbon, you can change the style of a shoe from formal to informal or even crazy and avant-garde. Mohop shoe soles are made from rubber trees cultivated without the use of pesticides. Once the trees stop producing rubber, the timber becomes a waste product, ideal for the production of shoe soles. The timber is dyed with natural dyes. A few times a year Mohop visits the factories in which their soles are produced in order to supervise the social and environmental conditions there. The replaceable ribbons are made from reclaimed sari by a women’s cooperative in India. The entire profit from the sales of the ribbons is donated towards the development of a social centre in India.
