Kabak is a Polish brand that mainly produces socks, hats and scarves. The fabric that is used to create the products is verified to be GOTS and OEKO-TEX certified. In addition to organic cotton, Kabak uses conventional cotton, tencel and recycled fabrics. Half of the production is made from organic cotton.
The company is registered with BDO (Waste Database), which keeps records of production waste. Orders are packed in paper packaging. In 2023, Kabak, in cooperation with the Piesotto brand, introduced circular dog beds filled with cotton offcuts from sock production. For every bedding sold, the two brands donate food to the charges of the Korabiewice shelter, run by the Viva! Foundation. Kabak is involved in many social activities and cooperates with, among others, the Avalon Foundation (which works for the benefit of people with physical disabilities) or the Ocalenie Foundation. Currently, Kabak employs 13 people, with all employees in Poland employed mainly on the basis of employment contracts, B2B contracts and commission agreements (concluded with seasonal and casual workers in stationary stores). The average salary is PLN 7420 gross. Employees have the opportunity to receive training and improve their skills.  The brand counted its carbon footprint with the help of an external expert, Dr. Przemysław Poszwa. Some of the tips and recommendations have already been implemented-including moving the warehouse to a more energy-efficient location, optimizing store areas for heat loss and electricity consumption. All the details are included in the report, which the brand makes available on its website.
