The Polish brand Gabriella mainly produces tights, stockings and women's socks. The production of tights started in 1996 in a factory in Łódź. The small family business bęcame one of the largest manufacturers of hosiery in Europe within a few years. In 2020, this company launched a new line Gabriella NOW! Line now! - the first tights in Poland made of 100% recycled yarns with the Global Recycled Standard certificate. Additionally, the now! ocean line is made of yarn from fishing nets recovered from the seas and oceans. This means that during the production of tights now! water consumption is reduced by 90% and CO2 emissions to the atmosphere are reduced by 80%. The brand gave up poly mailers in e-commerce shipping. She replaced them with cardboard boxes that can be recycled. Foil in the packaging of now! and it is made on the basis of PLA, i.e. fiber made of corn. And the paper in the package comes from recycled materials. The brand supports the MARE foundation, which works to protect the Baltic Sea.
