Eko Dom is Aldi's own brand producing cleaning products, mainly for the kitchen and bathroom. The products are Ecolabel and Blue Angel certified. In addition, the packaging carries the statement "contains plant-based surfactants from cultivation in Europe." Moreover, the detergent packaging is made from 100% recycled materials. The Aldi chain of stores was founded in Germany and is known throughout Europe. Aldi pays attention to respecting workers' rights and protecting the environment. In the store you will find products with reliable certifications, such as, for example, the European Organic Farming Mark, UTZ, Fairtrade, V-Label, GOTS, Blue Angel, Ecolabel and many others. Aldi is successively reducing greenhouse gas emissions by increasing electricity consumption from renewable energy sources, LED lighting or an innovative cooling system. The company has pledged to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by 2021 compared to 2015, and in 2017 joined the United Nations Global Compact. One of ALDI's main packaging policy goals is to introduce recyclable, compostable or reusable packaging for all private label products by the end of 2025. In addition, the chain wants to reduce the total weight of packaging materials for private label products by 15 percent by 2025, and aims for at least 40 percent of fruits and vegetables not to be packaged at all. The Aldi store chain has implemented an ISO 22000 and IFS management system. Aldi conducts a number of information and education campaigns on climate change in its broadest sense, publishes its own best-practice publications and collaborates with environmental activists and activists such as Sylwia Majcher, for example.
