Munken is a line of uncoated printing papers designed for printing a variety of publications, manufactured by Arctic Paper. Munken papers are made in Sweden, partly from certified wood (FSC and PEFC), partly from FSC Controlled Wood. Wood certified with the FSC Mixed and PEFC certificates is used for production, meaning that it comes from sustainable forestry. Most of the kinds of Munken paper are made of cellulose which is bleached without the use of the most environmentally harmful gaseous chlorine (EFC paper), while Munken Print, Premium and Pure papers are made in an entirely chlorine-free way (TCF paper).
