POL office paper is manufactured in Kwidzyn, in a production plant owned by the International Paper Kwidzyn Sp. z o.o. limited liability company. The wood used for its production originates mostly from Polish forests, from such tree species as birch, pine and aspen. Three types of POL paper (POLspeed, POL Jet and POL Lux) are certified with the FSC Mixed label meaning that at least 70% of raw material used for their production is FSC-certified, while the uncertified rest is the so-called Controlled Wood. The other type of POL paper (POL Color Laser) is PEFC-certified. All four kinds of POL paper are bleached without the use of the most environmentally harmful gaseous chlorine (ECF paper), as are other paper products made in the Kwidzyn plant. All POL papers are certified with the EU Ecolabel which means that they have a lesser impact on the environment than similar products, available on the market.
