Alpro is a brand owned by Danone, whose offer includes, among others: plant milks (soy, almond, oat, coconut), yoghurts and vegetable creams. Danone supports farmers in introducing regenerative agriculture, which positively affects the condition of the soil and allows for more sustainable management of its resources. Alpro does not purchase soybeans from Brazil. Non-GM soybean seeds come primarily from Europe, mainly from France, the Netherlands and Belgium, as well as from Canada. Their cultivation therefore does not contribute to the deforestation of rainforests. The coffee and cocoa used in Alpro products are UTZ certified. Alpro brand products mostly have a simple composition without food additives such as preservatives, dyes or emulsifiers, although it happens that they contain stabilizers. The products are sold in cardboard packaging made of at least 73% biodegradable materials (a mixture of biodegradable paper and plastic). 24% is plastic and 3% is aluminum. Cardboard paper is FSC certified. Alpro has committed to making all packaging 100% recyclable by 2025. Other brands belonging to the Danone company include: Danio, Actimel, Fantasia, Ale Pitny, Bebiko, Bebilon, BoboVita, Żywiec Zdrój. Danone products are exported to over 120 countries. 100% of the electricity in the plants and warehouses comes from renewable sources. Danone has committed to becoming climate neutral by 2050. Alpro is a brand certified by B Corp. The company is involved in various social and charity initiatives. Through the Social Fund, Alpro helped 100 social organizations, including funding projects to combat malnutrition in Africa.
