The Mlekpol Dairy Cooperative in Grajewo is one of the largest producers of milk and dairy products in Poland and Europe. The products of the Mleko Zambrowskie brand, owned by SM Mlekpol, are primarily milk and butter. The products are mostly simple in composition with no food additives such as preservatives, dyes, emulsifiers or stabilizers. Milk is sold in cardboard boxes. The Mlekpol Dairy Cooperative has launched also such brands as Łaciate, Milko, Mazurski Smak, Rolmlecz, Mleko Białe and Maślanka Mrągowska. Mlekpol's products are made at 13 processing plants. More than 30% of SM Mlekpol's products are exported to Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. The dairy cooperative employs about 9,000 farmers and 2,800 people employed at 13 plants throughout Poland. SM Mlekpol has an IFS quality management system - this system ensures safety in the food production process. The cooperative is heavily involved in activities for the local community. It takes special care of the youngest and sports teams.
