Lipton is a brand belonging to Unilever dealing with the production of teas. It offers both tea bags and loose leaf teas. Lipton has a line of more sustainable teas that are non-GMO and certified USDA Organic. Organic black teas are sustainably sourced from the mountainous regions of Kenya. In addition, some Lipton teas are Rainforest Alliance certified. Teas have a simple composition without unnecessary additives. Lipton now uses 40% less materials to produce family packs of tea compared to previous packs. In addition, most of the paper for the production of packaging is obtained from suppliers with PEFC and FSC certificates. The brand's offer also includes juices and drinks, unfortunately sold mainly in plastic bottles. Beverages, in addition to sugar, may contain flavorings and acidity regulators. Unilever has around 400 brands in 190 different countries and employs around 149,000 people. Due to the scale of the business, it has developed its own environmental management standard based on ISO 14001. Since 2008, Unilever has reduced its global carbon footprint by two-thirds. The company has committed to reducing the amount of virgin plastic put into circulation by 50% by 2025, and to investing €1 billion by 2030 to eliminate fossil fuels from the production of cleaning and laundry products. Unilever has also committed that by 2030 all the company's suppliers will receive at least a living wage. Unilever has been present in Poland since 1991, when a cosmetics factory was opened in Bydgoszcz. It currently employs nearly 3,000 people nationwide. Unilever strongly focuses on the mental health of its employees. The Lipton brand cooperates with the Impossible Foundation, which implements many projects in the field of psychoeducation.
