Furniko produces office furniture. Furniko furniture is sold, among others, to the following markets: Great Britain, France, Russia, Hungary, Germany, Iceland and the United Arab Emirates. The company applies a policy of optimal use of energy through the use of modern energy-saving machine tools in the production process, energy-saving heating systems and lighting installations. The basic material that Furniko uses for production is furniture boards made of wood-based materials. The raw material supplier is the Austrian company EGGER, which produces them from wood exclusively from certified forests in which sustainable forest management is used. The furniture is FSC certified. EGGER monitors the emissions of formaldehyde ensuring the E1 class for its products and the emission of volatile organic compounds. To protect the narrow edges of furniture, Furniko uses ABS edgings, which, compared to PVC edging, are more environmentally friendly and easier to dispose of. Furniko informs about its waste policy on the website. The main group of waste is waste from wood-based panels. The company made sure that all of them were used for the production of fibreboards in plants 20 km away from the factory.
