Arctic is a line of coated papers for printing various publications, produced by Arctic Paper. There are three shades of white available: Arctic Volume High White, Arctic Volume White and Arctic Volume Ivory, as well as Silk and Gloss varieties. Arctic papers are manufactured mostly in Sweden but some types are made also in Italy. The paper is made in part from certified wood (FSC and PEFC), in part from the so-called FSC Controlled Wood. Cellulose used for the production of most of the Arctic types of paper is bleached without the use of the most environmentally harmful gaseous chlorine (ECF papers), while cellulose used for the production of the Arctic Volume Ivory paper is bleached without any use of chlorine compounds (TCF paper).
