Urtekram is a Dutch company manufacturing eco-friendly products, including cosmetics. All the products of this brand are certified with the demanding Ecocert BIO certificate which means that as much as 95% of the plant ingredients come from controlled organic farming or wild plant harvesting. Urtekram’s products contain no petroleum-derived mineral oils, synthetic dyes and aromatic substances, parabens, formaldehyde, silicones or GMO. The company reduces its carbon footprint by transporting raw materials and products by sea and using electric energy produced by one of Swedish hydroelectric power stations. Some of the cosmetics are made with sugar cane sourced in compliance with Fair Trade rules, meaning that farmers earned a fair wage for their work. The brand’s offer includes soaps, shampoos, body balms and toothpastes.
